'Our trip to Thailand was purposeful. We went to support a local NGO working with elephants. Their purpose was to bring awareness to the harm brought to elephants used in tourism. The long term effect of riding elephants is surprising and truly sad. While elephants are large, strong animals, they are not built for riding. We made a real connection with our pseudo-adopted Eli during our time there. Memories for a lifetime.'
